Foodninja Team was invited to do a taste test on Baker’s Heart cake. Baker’s Heart was originally founded in 2012 by Chef Zach Leong, which has now expanded into a growing team of passionate bakers and chef.

Throw them any theme or cake design you have in mind, and they will find a way to customise the cake design to your own personal preference, for both kids and adults alike!
Some popular themes among kids are famous movies like Frozen and Avengers.
While adults will prefer some macarons, flower or even unicorns.. Anything that you can imagine, Baker's Heart makes it possible to do it.
Other than the decorations, there are also a variety of different flavours available to choose from at Baker's Heart. Although we would definitely wish that they will come up with more unique and exotic flavours to perk up our taste buds, but we can just make do with with these safe flavours which can never go wrong!
Prior to going down to their outlet located at TaiSeng for a taste test, we did some research (mostly from their reviews on their Facebook page) and we found out that the more popular choices among their customers were the Chocolate Marquise and Rainbow Cake.
Baker’s Heart are also renowned for their not-too-sweet and affordable customised cakes that are not too rich or too heavy. The most amazing part is all those customised designs are made using 100% fresh cream.
This could be the main reason that keeps their customers and make them keep coming back for more! So, for our fellow readers who tried fondant cakes from other cake shops and found that the cake design looks pretty but its way too sweet, fret not! Baker’s heart is the perfect choice to go!
Foodninja Team got to try 4 out of the different cake flavours Baker's Heart offers, namely Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Marquise, Rose Lychee and Cookies and Cream, which were all simple but very delicious.
Among the 4 different cake flavours, we liked the Strawberry Shortcake the most. The vanilla sponge cake was light, airy and moist. It was not too rich or overly sweet. The tartness of the strawberry jam and fresh strawberries balances the sweetness from the fresh cream, making it a good combination.
Our next favourite was the Chocolate Marquise cake. An all time popular cake choice that has a rich and indulgent chocolatey flavour. However, we think that this cake flavour was a tad too one dimensional.
In our opinion, cookies & cream combination can never go wrong. It consists of layers of chocolate sponge with fresh cream and bits of chocolate oreo chunks stacked in between. Our judgement? Kids will definitely love this one!
As for the rose lychee, it was one of the more special flavours. We found this quite a refreshing cake choice with something unique.
